A small-batch labor of love
Sweet Sammye's started in my home kitchen, where I'd whip up chocolate covered treats for family birthdays and friend get-togethers. The orders kept coming — and now I get to make dessert tables and custom gift boxes for celebrations across the Des Moines metro.
I take pride in the little things: hand-piped roses, edible gold trim, color-matched bows, and the kind of finish that makes every guest pause and say "wait — look at these." Whether you need 12 favors for a small shower or a full dessert table for 100 guests, I've got you.

Common questions
How far in advance should I order?
I recommend reaching out 2–3 weeks ahead, especially for larger orders or busy seasons (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, holidays). I do my best to accommodate last-minute requests when I can.
Do you deliver?
Pickup is the standard option in the Des Moines metro. Local delivery may be available for an additional fee — just ask when you place your order.
What's the deposit policy?
A non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of your order total is required to officially place your order. The remaining balance is due at pickup. Sending a deposit means you agree to these terms.
Are gluten-free options available?
Yes — Oreos and cakecicles can be made gluten-free for an additional charge. Other allergy accommodations can be discussed when you place your order.
Can I request a custom flavor or design?
Absolutely. The menu lists my standard flavors and starting prices, but I love a creative challenge. Send me your inspiration and I'll quote a custom design.
How long do the treats keep?
Most chocolate covered treats stay fresh for 7–10 days in a cool, dry place. Strawberries and other fresh fruits should be enjoyed within 24–48 hours.
